Chelation therapy safely reduces or eliminates symptoms caused by hardening of the arteries ( arteriosclerosis ), such as chest pain ( angina pectoris ) and heart attack ( myocardial infarction ). Chelation therapy also improves complaints resulting from cerebral artery blockage ( stroke, TIA ) and narrowing of the leg arteries ( claudication ) without surgery. Conventional treatments for arteriosclerotic disease tend to only treat symptoms, through medication or surgery; chelation therapy aims to eliminate the actual cause.
Chelation therapy is a safe, non-surgical treatment, which uses a man-made substance called EDTA given intravenously. Along with other benefits, EDTA removes calcium buildup ( plaque ) in the arteries, consequently reducing or eliminating the cause of the above conditions. Numerous patients experience an increase in energy and vitality as a consequence of the treatment.
Chelation Therapy New Formula: Unproven Nonsense
Recently, a new phenomenon has surfaced in the Netherlands: Chelation Therapy New Formula. A handful of doctors claim that this form of chelation, which uses half the dose of EDTA and half the amount of infusion time, would be just as effective as standard chelation therapy according to the international chelation therapy organization IBCMT (International Board of Clinical Metal Toxicology) protocol.
However, one needs to realize that over a period of many years, the IBCMT has developed a valid, safe and effective protocol that has already extensively proven itself in successful treatments. Therefore, IBCMT-certified chelation physicians are strongly opposed to this newly thought up, unproven form of chelation therapy. We still live by motto: either do it right and safe or don’t do it at all.
